چکیده
Abstract. The measurement of precipitation in the Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) surface network is a crucial component for climate weather monitoring, flood water resource forecasting, numerical prediction, many other applications that impact health safety Canadians. Through late 1990s early 2000s, ECCC modernization resulted shift from manual to automated measurements. Although advantages automation are realized, such as enhanced capabilities monitoring remote locations higher frequency observations at lower cost, increased reliance on gauges has also additional challenges, especially with data quality homogenization. weighing used operational have an propensity wind-induced undercatch solid precipitation. Uncertainty Investigation of Precipitation and Temperature Scenarios for the Sira Basin under Climate Change Impact
Results of assessment of the future climate change impacts is associated with some uncertainties. Considering the range of uncertainties increases reliability of the results. In this study, climate change impacts on daily precipitation, maximum and minimum temperature of Sira basin are assessed using LARS-WG model, for 2036-65 period. Accordingly, uncertainty of new emissions scenarios (RCP2.6،...
متن کاملClimate Change Induced Precipitation Effects on Water Resources in the Peace Region of British Columbia, Canada
Climate change would significantly affect the temporal pattern and amount of annual precipitation at the regional level, which in turn would affect the regional water resources and future water availability. The Peace Region is a critical region for northern British Columbia’s social, environmental, and economic development, due to its potential in various land use activities. This study invest...
متن کاملPrecipitation Extremes Under Climate Change
The response of precipitation extremes to climate change is considered using results from theory, modeling, and observations, with a focus on the physical factors that control the response. Observations and simulations with climate models show that precipitation extremes intensify in response to a warming climate. However, the sensitivity of precipitation extremes to warming remains uncertain w...

On the basis of General Circulation Model (GCM) experiments with increased CO2, many parts of the northern latitudes including western Europe, are expected to have enhanced hydrologic cycles. Using observations of precipitation and stream ̄ow from Ireland, we test for climatic and hydrologic change in this maritime climate of the northeast Atlantic. Five decades of hourly precipitation (at eight...
